Criminal case launched in Karelia. The case is connected with the negligence of the Fire Department Chief - Alexander Golikov. Accident happened in the city Pudoj, last year on 21 September. A house with 2 flats was lighted up on that terrible night. House tenants escaped the house and called the Fire Department. They were surprised when the call failed. People tried to call to the Department during an hour, but nobody picked up the phone. The house was totally burned.
It was found out during the investigation, that the Fire Department phone supervisor was drunk when the fire happened. The rest firefighters with the Fire Department chief were sleeping. Due to the service check, 3 firefighters quit their job after the accident. Alexander Golikov had been given a disciplinary penalty.
But the criminal case was launched soon, due to the negligence of the chief. He is incriminated with the unfair and unscrupulous actions, which entailed with the serious damage of the property.
