Child Had Been Stolen from Maternity Home in Odessa

Unknown woman kidnapped a newborn child from maternity home in Odessa on Monday. Police had found and returned the child back the same day .
The unknown woman, suited like nurse, took the child and said the 23-year old mother that she is going on procedures. It happened approximately at 15:00(GMT+3). 4 hours later the information about child kidnapping had been reported to the police.
Police rapidly started the criminal investigation. Detectives identified the woman and the interception plan had been initiated in the region. The criminal identity information had been immediately broadcasted by means of mass media.
Some time later, the woman was arrested in Ilyichevskoe village, located in several km. near Odessa. She turned out to be a 25-year old local citizen. Woman went to the local maternity home and told doctors that some hours before she had given a birth to the child. But doctors doubted about the appearance and health status of the newborn. They reported to the police. Police returned the child, doctors are satisfied with his health status.
