Kidnappers of Moscow State Institute of International Relations (MGIMO) Students Arrested in Moscow
1:44 Pm
A group of young people, suspected in kidnappings of 2 girls (Moscow State Institute of International Relations students), were arrested in Moscow.
First girl was kidnapped near the MGIMO-University building; criminals put her in the garage box, called the father using girl's cell phone and demanded 60 thousand dollars. In case of refusal they threatened to kill her. Criminals had already done the similar kidnapping of another girl in October 2007. That time they received 50 thousand dollars redemption.
However, this time police rescued the girl and her kidnappers were arrested. Both criminal cases were consolidated in one. Young criminals had been sentenced to 15 years imprisonment, the maximum allowed sentence due to the case.
